New Wills Wing Falcon 3

Wednesday, April 19th, 2006

Wills Wing is about to release a new version of the Falcon. The new version includes a new sail cut, upgraded hardware, and a nose cone. In addition, and the biggest news, is that this version will be able to break down to 6-7 feet (just as the Target from Aeros).

I think I just have to buy one before next summer!

Øyvind’s bachelor party

Sunday, April 16th, 2006

Øyvind Ellefsen and Georgia got married in Brasilia yesterday. Gratulations and best of luck. A few weekends ago his best man Fritz held a bachelor party for Øyvind. The party was really good; lots of fun and alcohol.
Pictures from the bachelor party HERE (as he is already married I guess it is safe to publish the pictues).

Picture at Icaro2000 web site.

Browsing through the web site of Icaro2000 I found a picture that looked familiar. The picture to the right here is one that I took over two years ago. Wonder how it got to the Icaro2000 web site? Still, I do not mind them using it. I have published it on this web site, and anything I post there I consider to be public materials. But maybe they at least could give me good deal on my next 4Fight integral helmet? The one I am using now is in its third season and even the visor is still in pretty good shape. But sooner or later any helmet must be replaced, and then I will definitely buy a new 4Fight.

Slow day at Sundvollen.

Monday, April 10th, 2006

After bad weather this weekend today (Monday) looked promising; NW winds, sun, and pretty good thermal forecast. But as usual at Sundvollen, things did not turn out as planned. The wind was more from N (crosswind at the launch) and the thermals were weak. I got a 40 minutes flight, and a few others managed to get between 1 and 2 hours. Log book.

Short report from the last two weekends.

Monday, April 10th, 2006

I have been pretty slow updating the homepage lately. Here is a very brief summary of the last two weekends.

March 25th: Prolonged sled ride from Norefjell. Nice weather but too stable and too much snow for good thermals. Still, at least I got a flight from Norefjell again. It must have been at least 3 years since the last time. Log book.
April 1st: A desperate attempt to feel the spring thermals. Morten Holo and I drove up to Øyer (180 km one way) to try to get a thermal flight. But typically it had snowed during the night and this “killed” any good thermal development. So it was a long drive for a 20 minutes flight. Log book.
